A recap of an evening almost long forgotten, but definitely worth sharing for the 25th anniversary of the Lomo LC-A!
Almost a year ago now, on November 29th 2008, I made my first Lomowall. It was for an exhibition presented by 54KOLAKTIV and Les Ateliers Claus within the context of the annual audiovisual festival Cimatics in Brussels, Belgium. I never had the chance to share the event recap with the Lomo community and I wouldn’t want such a fantastic evening to remain untold. Let this be my birthday present for our beloved Lomo LC-A!
The 25th anniversary of Lomography is not just about celebrating the past, but also the present and future. For this little cafe in Larnaca, there's nothing more regal than to represent and create the LomoWall for Cyprus.
To celebrate the 25 year anniversary of Lomography we are building an 8.5 meter long Lomowall on Ganton st, just off of Carnaby St in the centre of London. This is one of a series of hundreds of LomoWalls dotted across the globe. Join us for the launch party on November 9th from 6pm.
In celebration of the 25th anniversary, we asked Lomographers to share their favorite places in Israel by submitting Lomographs. The collective effort pays off, and Lomography continues to go global as the erected LomoWall in Tel Aviv caught the attention of the Israeli press and media.
On November 10, we celebrated our 25th anniversary at the W Hotel New York. We kicked off the night by revealing our newly installed LomoWall as well as camera packages that will be available to any guests who book rooms at any of the W Hotels in NYC.
