There’s always that one scene in a movie that makes an impact in us, that one scene that sticks on our mind’s eye and repeats itself in an infinite loop that we couldn’t quite get out of.
May it be a poignant line uttered, or a silence heavy with tension and meaning, these fleeting seconds are now immortalized thanks to the rise in popularity of cinemagraphs. These not-quite-photographs-but-not-quite-films are really quite hypnotizing.
And if you happen to look for a particular cinemagraph from your favorite film, you might want to check If We Don’t, Remember Me.
IWDRM is a blog dedicated to posting cinemagraphs from classic films around the world, complete with their respective lines. It’s a delight and feast for the eyes.
Although, I have to admit, these makes me particularly curious and interested in the idea of creating analogue cinemagraphs. Perhaps via the LomoKino?
What do you guys think?
