Why don’t we make good use of our weekends by searching for something interesting in our surroundings? Approximately 30 analogue-lovers spent a nice Sunday exploring Sheung Wan, a diverse district in Hong Kong, with different Lomography cameras!
At 2 p.m. on 21 October, we all gathered at the Lomography Gallery Store Sheung Wan. Each participant was able to borrow either a Diana Mini, Fisheye no. 2, La Sardina, or LomoKino! Everyone was so excited once they got their chosen camera in-hand!
The workshop started when our Lomography team began to introduce some basic camera operations and functions and sharing some photo-taking tips with participants! Okay, we were ready-spaghetti! So it was time to shoot our Hong Kong in good ol’ Lomography style!
The journey started from our Gallery Store. First, we headed to Tai Ping Shan Street. We couldn’t resist pressing the shutter as there were different, interesting, and artistic stores we were all drawn to! After that, we passed by the YMCA and other edifices with vibrant colors! The Lomography team continually shared different photographic tips while on our walk.
Then we arrived at Wing Lee Street, the site where collective memories of all Hong Kong people are bound! It was also where the movie Echoes Of The Rainbow was shot!
After making a visit to U Lam Terrace and Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences we were finally back at the Gallery Store! White it was almost the end of the activity but all participants didn’t want to put down their cameras! When they told that they could submit the film to our Lomography staff for development, they all proceeded to and looked so excited!
