A Disney Dream Come True

Rollercoasters and magic, nostalgia and adrenalin, parades and castles, dolls and tree houses, boats and pirates, Mickey and Donald. Nothing but pure fun! Where else can you find it but in Disneyland Paris!

I really don´t know how to start explaining my feelings about Disney world. I guess that’s because it has always been my world, too.

Ever since I can remember I would pour over Disney books all day. Not only were they entertainment books but I noticed they also had some educational substance in them. It made me gain respect for Disney — they made me feel I was a part of them, their family. Maybe that´s why I, despite being almost 30 years old, feel a deep and true happiness and respect towards Disney. So, it is only expected that going to Disneyland was a dream come true for me!

In April 2012, I traveled to Paris for the second time in my life. I took some friends along and we made some plans — plans that included a visit to Disney world.

When we arrived, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing: pink hotels with a giant Mickey Mouse clock on the outside, beautiful buildings, a lot of colors… it was another planet!

Although I always knew about the existence of Disneyland, I didn’t know about their rollercoaster — how silly of me!

The first thing I tried was Tower Hollywood, a big building built only for one thing: taking your heart out of your chest! I heard some screams when I first entered but I didn’t know where I was at or what was going to happen.

They toured us first around the house. and then they took us to a platform with seats and strong seatbelts. The journey started. In a flash, we got 5 floors up, and then up again in such a quick speed! We got to the top and the windows opened. We could see all Disney park! I remember thinking the platform would go to the exterior wall at 20 floors up the ground, and then crash to the ground. (Hey, once you’re in Disney world, you become a child… and I was scared as one! )

While my fears didn’t happen, the next thing I knew was that we started going down in great speed! Baaaaahhhhh!

As for the others, well, Space Mountain was the best rollercoaster for me. Rock N´Rolla was pretty good. Although one word of advice: don’t you trust on Nemo Rollercoaster. It seems very pretty and cute but it´s hardcore too. Try it out! I don’t want to be the only one surprised.

To calm your stomach after all that action, take a ride to Disney film studios by car. Other surprises wait you there. You can go to Crusoe’s tree house and get into the book, but in real life.

Pirates, boats, great food, the famous parade, and the main show. Disneyland Paris has celebrated 20 years. Every night there’s an awesome show in Sleepy Beauty castle, which is held outdoors. Great, huge, giant projections using all the castle as a cinema screen lighted our night. The best 20 minutes show I´ve ever seen.

Well, that’s it for now. I must return there.
