*Who did Boris end up with and what’s his life like? *
My name is Aukje Dekker, I’m an artist and museum director of the Eddie the Eagle museum, together with Sieto and Arthur. The museum is at the Tolhuistuin in the northern part of Amsterdam. Currently we’re working on a time capsule: some sort of document that stores everything for the future. We built a factory in shipping containers where everything is made by visitors of the factory.

How did Boris end up with you and which assignment did you get?
I got Boris from Patricia, his previous host. She gave me the assignment to take a picture from an impossible angle or position. As we speak my brain is still at an impossible angle to think of a way to complete this assignment – but that is as close as I got to fulfilling it. Sorry Patricia!

Were you familiar with Lomography before?
Last time I shot with film must’ve been when I was around 16. After that I always took photos with a digital camera or DSLR. I used a Polaroid before and that reminds me of this Lomo LC-A+ camera me aan denken. It’s both special and exclusive.

How did you like having Boris around?
Really cool. I’ve got no clue how the photos turned out: there’s no ‘quick fix’ when it comes to analogue photography. It’s more about the photos you don’t take I think. You become more critical and selective. I don’t have an iPhone or something, so it was nice to have a camera around me all the time. I noticed how much I like my life, there are so many fun moments!

How did Boris become part of your life during this week?
I gave Boris too much attention which my boyfriend didn’t really appreciate. He insisted on not having Boris share the bed with us, while I really liked having him sleep in between us.

What did you like taking photos of with Boris?
First I took Boris to printing house the Raddraaier, to a lecture on how the internet takes over book printing. I really hope the ‘cumbaja’ photo turned out good. After that I went to a café in the Amsterdam neighborhood the Pijp, then to OT301 with Supercity and then to bed. The next day I went to Rembo&Rembo and to the studio in Utrecht where Laurens is working on his album. Then to the Kröller Müller museum and to the Radiohead concert, then back home and to the Eddie the Eagle museum. Before I knew it, it was my last day with Boris.

What would you like to be the assignment for the next owner?
I want the next host to take a photo of something or something he detests, and try to capture it as ugly as possible.
