As we celebrate Lomography’s 20th anniversary this week, it got me thinking what my life was like in 1992. I dug around my baby albums and found this photo of me with a toy camera. Who knew that, 20 years later, I’d be working for the biggest analogue photography community and company? :-)
Quartz-dated 1992, it’s one of the photos my mum took of me while I was playing with my Little Tikes toy camera! It didn’t actually take any film but I remember it making that distinct clicking sound whenever I pressed the shutter and, of course, 3-year-old me would be delighted!
I eventually picked up an actual camera, what with several family members being hobbyists, and always had fun shooting. Fast forward to 20 years later, I’m back to using film despite digital’s ubiquity and I’m working for the biggest analogue community and company, Lomography!
Definitely glad to be part of a movement that brings people all over the world together through creativity, especially during this momentous occasion! What were you doing in 1992? Let us know in the comments below!
