Lomography has just launched its latest Crown Jewel: the Belair X 6-12

Lomography has just launched its latest Crown Jewel, a very special camera: the amazing Belair X 6-12. As Spain’s Lomography Ambassador, I am honoured to be among those lucky ones who first prove and try every band-new Lomography’s creation.

I must say that the Belair X 6-12 is a camera that allows amateur, semi-professional and pro photographers to enjoy a camera that will amaze them.

It has multiple options: to start with, it can shoot in three different formats; double exposures can also be made and, on top of that, style is guaranteed thanks to its automatic shutter system, like in the very well-known Lomo-LCA

It is very light and has two diaphragms, 8 and 11. It works with two watch butteries and were they not to work, the camera would always be ready to shoot at a speed of 1/125. It offers different ASA options and, of course, it also has the indispensable shutter option ‘B’. You will be able to shoot at night and to try long exposures out.

The brand-new Belair X 6-12 really is a gem. You can change its lenses too, since it has three different options in plastic, all of them of the highest optical quality. Moreover, Lomography is planning to offer lenses in glass, like those of its younger sister, the Lomo-LCA.

My experience with it has been wonderful. Since I got it, I have regained my willingness to try things in medium format, my passion for it. An alternative that a true-hearted photographer can never lose. I recommend that you should pre-order your own Belair X 6-12. Its delivery is due on mid December 2012, which means that you won’t have to wait very long until you have your own gem in your hands. It won’t stop surprising you.

Thank you all.

The Lomography here shown is a kind of panoramic photo taken at a beach on the South of Tenerife.
I used a 6×7 format and I advanced the film in a crazy way, in order to be able to get this superposition effect. I am really happy with the results.

Hey are those really good portraits on the store page done with the plastic or metal models?

I'm wondering how big it is? Good to read it is quite light. It looks quite long? And does it come with a strap? just little questions. I can't stop thinking about this camera!!
