Double Exposure Projects with Topics!

My friend Aileen and I already made a few double exposure projects together. Almost with a previously determined theme and with wonderful results! Here I show you a small selection.

Our first film together was a typical double exposure film. Everybody shot just what he wanted and we were excited about the results. Here is a small selection:

For the next one, we wanted to try something different. Since I’m a total chewing gum machine snap shooter, we came up with the idea to connect the chewing gum machine from our two cities (Landshut & Cologne). There were some amazing shots really. It is one of my favorite double exposure films.

It continued with to the next topic: Plants from Aileen (registered here as farbanomalie) and deer from me! Which of course has to be my favorite roll of film because I like deers so much.

For the last project we had the theme of doors & windows. While I only shoot doors in my town Landshut and Aileen will do only windows in her city Cologne, again we created great pictures and this time we did a B&W film which Aileen developed herself.

So be not afraid to start a double exposure project with topics. Because it can be very exciting and surprise you with great results!

I especially love to make doubles with Aileen because somehow we both have a very different way of taking pictures and this makes it a really good mix!

Some really cool results here! And I like the idea of doing doubles that have some kind of conceptual link, rather than just random stuff. Nice write-up.
