Wolfe's Pond Park and Beach, Staten Island, NY

Going to the beach in the fall isn’t a bad idea after all (as long as you have a camera with you).

A friend drove me up to this place one day in autumn last year. There weren’t as much people as in the summer which made the photos look solemn and as a friend would describe it, “suicidally sad.” We sat there by the shore for a good hour, watching the ducks float nearby, before we left and gone back to civilization.

Most people would be surprised to find out that there are other public beaches in New York City besides the one in Coney Island. Yes, there are. In fact, of all the seven beaches, three are in Staten Island. There goes your fun NYC fact.

Shot with a Lomo LC-A+ and a roll of redscaled Lucky film (200 ISO).
