Leather and Lacy? Tough and Silky?

Use some tough silk to make those lights drip. Just a simple filter over the lens can make your points of light shoot in straight lines making the whole thing look like Bowie 1979!

Basically you get a light filter called “tough silk”. This gel is available in all those sample gel packs you can order free from lighting companies. So the filter is semi see through with lines that run parallel. You just tape that junk over the lens and then aim your camera at a light source. The better the point of light the better the effect. You can use the sun or a light bulb, xmas lights, glow sticks etc. Something you should note is that the lines will make the light go in whatever direction you place the filter over the lens, if you want diagonal, vertical, or horizontal lines then simply place the filter on the lens in the desired direction. It is simple but fun friends.
