Strike Anywhere draws light from the multiple pro-democracy movements that had sparked in different countries around the globe over the last 18 months — from the Arab Spring Protests, to the uprisings in Syria and Libya, as well as the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations taking place throughout the United States.

As stated by ICP’s Associate Director of Education, Suzanne Nicholas: “It is in the tradition and values of ICP that our alumni are bearing witness to these extraordinary events.”

Their work presented here, both reportage and conceptual, provides a powerful premise for generating conversation about these dramatic and evolving popular movements. Strike Anywhere highlights ICP’s international reach and the unique position of our alumni, who are out on the forefront, sometimes at great personal risk, witnessing, recording and commenting on the powerful forces and voices emerging around the world.
