LC-A and Ringflash Happily Ever After

2012-11-04 1

It’s the best camera flash ever!

It was my first time using the Lomography Ringflash. I paired it together with my LOMO LC-A. And guess what, it worked off superbly! Too bad I only capture a few photos by using the ringflash. Well I guess it’s better to have something rather than nothing right? So, here are some of the photos taken with the Lomography Ringflash!

Unfortunately, I only borrowed the ringflash from a friend of mine. I’m sure to get one soon for myself! FLASH! FLASH everyone! LOMO ON!

    Sorry, happily ever after?
For starters, the LC-a, and LC-a+ adapter for the ringflash dont hold the camera firmly, at just kind of sits there, somewhat cradled by the two brackets. The Holga/Diana adapters at least snap on to the back of the cameras and hold them still. Secondly, the brackets make it impossible to use any of the mechanics on the front of the camera. (The focus lever, aperture lever or dial for ISO) and finally, the ringflash itself as well as the adapter cover the light sensor preventing it from getting a proper reading for exposure in low light situations...I got this flash last week, and now I have to spend more money and time to modify it to hold the camera and a way to get light to the sensor so I can use a camera that this flash is supposedly made to be used with. Also, there is 0 way to get to the MX switch on the bottom without removing the camera from the flash...Happily ever after indeed...
