Lomographer, tracyvmoore’s Lomo LC-A birthday party in Port Townsend, Washington
This event will host roughly 200 Journal enthusiasts. During the day attendees choose from a wide variety of classes on both making different kinds of journals and techniques for filling your journal up. Book construction, painting, drawing, writing, and photography are all workshopped during this event.
During the evening, there will be two “journaling” parties. These will be social events where we will gather in the “Commons Building” at Fort Worden and listen to music while we draw, write, and share art supplies and “play” time together. We will art supplies, including Copic Airbrush systems with lots of stencils to play with in your journal.
Friday night from 7pm to 9pm is an artist market where many unique hand bound journals will be sold as well as supplies and other art.
Saturday night from 7pm on will be our LCA 25th Birthday party. The band “Haiku-chi” will be performing all night. We have a few “Lomo” door prizes as well as other fun things in store this party. The LCA has played such an intregal roll in my journal keeping, it was a must have party at our event.
The daily classes are by pre-registration only and we do still have a few spaces left if you’re interested. You can register at www.teeshamoore.com under “events” and then “Journalfest”.
The night parties and market place are open to all, and there is no cost to attend. The Fort is a wonderful place to visit and to shoot.
Members of the Seattle Lomo Adventure Club will be there and we love to meet other lomographers. Feel free to email me or drop me a note at my lomohome if you have any questions.
