This is my one and only Redscale film ever. I still can’t believe the results that I got; I fell in love with the pictures that this Lomography film can produce.
Summer arrived before what we expected, it was nice weather, the sun was shining and I was dying to go out and take photos. But there was a problem, I hadn’t got the time, because I had to do my theater essays.
I recently received some Lomography Redscale XR 50-200 films from the online shop and I wanted to try them. Suddenly, an idea came to my mind: who could be better subjects than my theater mates? Furthermore, our play was about the Spanish Civil War in 1937, I thought it was the perfect period for this film.
I arrived with my camera, and my mates got really impressed. All of them were dressed for their respective parts and when I asked if I could take some pictures, they didn’t hesitate even for a bit.
The results were amazing, all of us were really impressed, when we saw the pictures. If the subjects of the pictures had been other people, we may have guessed that the pictures were made in 1937 and not in 2012.
Not all the pictures have that nice sepia color like the pictures above, other photos that I took the same day were more reddish and darker, I suppose this was because of the ISO setting.
In spite of that, I think the results are adorable and I like the reaction that I get from whoever sees the pictures. I can’t wait to try another roll of Lomography Redscale XR 50-200, even if there won’t be a better occasion than this!
