This week’s featured Analogue Lifestyle article is “Book Covers in Lomographs” by raejk14 from UK. If you could republish your favourite books’ covers with Lomographs, what would they look like? Here’s what her sweet analogue shelf would contain.
“I love books way too much. If that was even possible. For anyone else who has often wished that they could meet the characters from their favorite books (such as Romeo & Juliet by Shakespeare), look no further than your Lomographs! Here’s a whistle stop tour of my all-time favorite books.”
We chose this article because it’s a cool application of how your Lomographs can be used creatively! Reimagining book covers with your own photographs is a pretty cool concept, even if it may not really run through printers in real life. It does happen for some artists though, like with painter John Parot from reality show, Work of Art. One of the episode challenges was to redesign a classic book cover and artists had to apply their talent and aesthetic to create modern imagery for an old time favorite. John’s piece was chosen and the new edition of The Time Machine by H.G. Wells (published by Penguin Books) now features his masterpiece. It may be a long-shot for most Lomographers, but it’s free to dream, isn’t it?
Congratulations on winning 10 Piggies!
