9-year-old Caine Monroy stole the hearts of millions when filmmaker Nirvan Mullick’s documentary about his DIY fantasy cardboard arcade became a viral hit earlier this year. This crafty and imaginative project has even inspired the creation of the Imagination Foundation, an organization advocating creativity and entrepreneurship in kids.

And this month of September marks the start of their Global Cardboard Challenge, an event where kids and kid-at-heart are invited to let their imagination roam free and create their own projects out of cardboard and recycled materials!

This event will culminate on October 6, where participating communities around the world can showcase and share their awesome masterpieces for a day of fun, fun, fun! As of this writing, there are already more than 100 events scheduled in more than 25 countries.
