Hello, tell us a bit about yourself and your Lomographic journey.
I’m easy going and a self enjoying person, a typical Cancerian, not so out-going, but happy to get to know new friends. Talk to me and let’s start conversation. About 3 years ago, my friend showed me his LC-A and his photos, at that moment, I fell in love with it and I started my Lomographic journey with the LC-A+ RL.
And how did you come across the products of Lomography / Lomography for the first time?
After I going through so much information about Lomography and their cameras, I chose the LC-A+ RL. Why? It is easy to use – just load your film, set the correct ISO setting, pick the correct focus, then all the photos are just prefect.
What the best part shooting with a bunch of Lomography enthusiasts?
So far, I don’t go out shooting with a bunch of people. Maybe I will try someday.
What is the definition of analogue lifestyle to you?
Shooting with no worries, enjoying the shooting moments, expecting the unexpected, and loving your life.
What was the most unforgettable, strangest, funniest, or worst photographic/Lomographic experience that you encountered before?
Just recently, when I visited Koh Samui, I dropped my LC-A+ with the wide angle lens on the road. The wide angle viewfinder fell apart. Luckily I still can assemble it back. But the clip at the bottom of wide angle lens has broken. Something goes wrong with the camera too, hopefully it is ok.
What’s your favorite photo in your collection and why?
Every sunset and sunrise photo is my favorite, especially in panorama view. The day starts when the sun rises, and it ends when sun sets. The sunset and sunrise is just a very short moment, maybe just a few minutes. So the moment is just priceless.
Were you born in Pahang? Where is your location now?
Yes I’m originally born in Pahang and I am living in Kuantan, Pahang.
Tell us what do you love the most about Pahang?
Pahang is the biggest state in Peninsular Malaysia. So Pahang has the biggest land with beautiful landscape, flora and fauna. Pahang has a beautiful beach line from Cherating to Rompin, which I love the most. Highlands such as Cameron Highlands, Genting Highlands, Fraser Hill are great places to relax and chill.
The food! Is there any finger licking good food that you love in Pahang?
In Kuantan, salted fish is famous. But it is not my favorite. Try our coconut biscuit from Sungai Lembing, which is delicious and best when dipped with coffee. Durian from Raub is the best, go try it and you will love it forever.
Where would you bring your friend to go when they pay you a visit at Pahang?
Teluk Chempedak is a must visit place in Kuantan. Do not miss the clean and beautiful beach. Beserah is a fishing village which has great scenery. Sungai Lembing has the great sunrise view. If you have luck, you can see the sun rising from the hill covered by mist, and it looks like the sea. But before that, you need to walk 30 minutes to the top of the hill. Rainbow waterfall is another top spot in Sungai Lembing. You can see the rainbow at the waterfall, but still depends on the weather.
Where do you develop your film at Pahang? Do you have any other recommendation and what are the price and any other specific notes?
I develop my film at Foto Gambar DL. So far this is the only place that I go to. I scan my film at home.
