In this period of Olympic celebration, I offer you a selection of shots made with my trusty Lomo LC-A in a wonderful day of outdoor sport performances in Piazza Duomo in Milan.
Every year in Milano, there is a great feast organized by the CONI, the Italian Olympic Federation, with many outdoor sport performances. One of my favorites is gymnastics, a very choreographic and harmonious discipline. Here, some girls have performed some synchronized exercises:
Basketball is another timeless sport, in this case, there was an entertaining and friendly wheelchair match.
Cheerleading is a new sport in Italy, not an Olympic discipline, but an interesting way to stay together in a healthy way of life.
There was a corner for martial arts, in this case, a demonstration of Taekwondo, a discipline with amazing body control, and another martial art
Certainly could not miss the volley, one of the most popular sports in the summer!
… and this is a football match, the most popular sport in Italy!

Women have played an important role in the history of photography, so it's no wonder they're a popular subject for filmmakers. To celebrate this year's International Women's Day, we've made a list of movies with female photographers whose work intersects with their personal lives.

Some months ago the wonderful city of Matera, chosen as the European Capital of Culture 2019, hosted an exhibit featuring the works of an important Italian social photographer: Pepi Merisio, who had also donated all photos shown to the local public library. To pay homage to this great artist, I have selected a series of photos that I took in this place last summer. Take a look!
This article is dedicated to the Italian street photographer and portraitist Ugo Mulas who masterfully documented the miniature circus of the great sculptor Alexander Calder. To write this tribute I documented a recent Christmas event in my city Como, a wonderful exhibition of vintage toys in a forest of snow-covered pines. Take a look!
This article is dedicated to one of the finest British sport photographers, Monte Fresco. In his 30 years of reportage for the Daily Mirror, he took some of the most iconic photographs in sporting history. He covered football, tennis, and boxing. But it is his ice skating pictures that I am most fascinated with. Using my own lens, I give him a modern tribute.

Last summer we were lucky to visit 4 cities in 3 different countries, just within a few days. This was reason enough to give my very first LomoChrome Turquoise a try. Afterwards I was astonished by the absolutely unexpected colors of the shots.
