Non-airconditioned SBS busses, HDB flats – do you remember those? How about the MRT when it only had 5 stations? In light of National Day, that’s around the corner, we’re having a nostalgic rumble! Pagers, candy now banned, simpler ways of entertainment – show us what your fondest memories are Singapore!
In lead up to the National Day Tea Party the Lomography Gallery Store Singapore is hosting on August 9, 2012, we’re having this rumble to get the spirit going!
What Singapore Means to You
Most of us were born at least in the early 90s when technology was just becoming what we know today. I count myself as lucky, to be able to have had a taste of both the old and the new world in which we’re currently living.
While we often sigh and miss those early days of our youth, we don’t spend too much time reflecting, remembering exactly what the smells were that we were once so fond of, the names of children we once called “best-friend” at age 5.
So we’d like to see what Singapore means to you – your earliest memories, fondest encounters as a primary-school kid, snacks that have gone out of production, and anything that screams “nostalgia”.
