We asked BIG LomoKino Rumble finalist Cass Cameron a few questions about her movie, “All Good Things Are Wild and Free.” Curious what inspired her to create this masterpiece? Read more under the cut!
Name: Cass Cameron
What inspired you to create this movie, All Good Things Are Wild and Free?
All Good Things Are Wild and Free is a compliation of Lomokino shoots. As a city dweller, I often feel detached from the privacy and beauty that nature so kindly offers. I wanted to shoot a film that was meaningful and evoked something deeper, something that served collective memory and earthly hindsight. I am fascinated by spirit, energy, and animals so I combined all of my favourite ideas!
If you win the prize money, what would be the concept for your next LomoKino movie?
My next film would be much longer, but it entails a swan boat, and a young woman going to an island to release her past selves.
What do you like best about the LomoKino?
I love the unpredictable results! It makes movie making very simple and easy. I must say that I love the close up button, and of course, stop motion.
