The Lomography Gallery Stores in NYC couldn’t have had a better time at the first annual Photoville NYC in June 2012! This special exhibition space hosted a variety of photography venues through gallery shows and booths, all with one purpose, to celebrate the art of photography. We filled our shipping containers with photographs of all shapes, sizes, and kinds, and for two weekends explored the world that had been created in a village made out of shipping containers. We don’t know about you, but Lomography certainly can’t wait until next year!
What: Photoville NYC
When: June 2012
Where: Brooklyn Bridge Park at the Pier 3 Uplands
Camera: All Lomography cameras
Technique: Portrait and Festival Photography
We spent 7 special days in the summer sun enjoying all things photography. Lomography held 14 workshops throughout the two weekends, helping all those new to analog learn the tips and tricks they needed for some fantastic photos.
The staff also had fun simply walking around, exploring the village, and soaking up some wonderful photographs in the various galleries that had been set up.
We explored the village both during the day and at night!
Lomography’s shipping container was completely filled with a LomoWall, made from your submissions! We hope you came by to see the great work that could not have happened without you. We also loved seeing you at our booth, where we had many Lomographic cameras on display for you to touch and play with. We loved talking to everyone and hearing your stories!
Send us your photographs from the event, or friend us and show us your photos on your LomoHome! We would love to see them!
