Where better to have a fancy birthday party than at a hotel in the iconic city of Waikiki, Hawaii? One of the most memorable hotels I’ve visited in this bustling tourist-run city is the Waikiki Resort Hotel.
The city of Waikiki is the epitome of tourism in Hawaii – not only in its abundant availability of summer activities all year long, but in its real estate offerings for those who want to live a little in luxury. Even though I’ve been through the Waikiki area many, many times, I have no idea exactly how many hotels there are, to this day.
Waikiki Resort Hotel is a mid-priced hotel that offers a newly-renovated status, which brings a calmer peace of mind when visiting as a tourist. Many reviews on the hotel’s website are favorable and point out the friendly service and clean rooms.
Not only is the Waikiki Resort Hotel clean, it is also close to the actual beach and shoreline. Since it is not on the main strip, there is less congestion and dirty air from the cars that zoom by on the main Waikiki strip. But not to worry, it is located only one close block behind the strip, which makes it extremely easy to access the beach and the many shops.
The Lehua Ballroom is perfect for meetings or functions that guests may have – which could range from a birthday party, to a graduation party, or a business gathering.
My friend had her 24th birthday at the Waikiki Resort Hotel, in the Lehua Ballroom. The room was large, clean, and was well serviced by the many helpful workers who vacuumed the room for us and prepped the delicious food.
We were able to decorate the room pretty much as we pleased, hanging Christmas lights from the ceiling and bringing in balloons and roses. The staff was very accommodating when it came to our requests for little odds and ends like extra chairs or masking tape.
The birthday party was a hit, and many of us remember Waikiki Resort Hotel as an immaculate, friendly-staffed, accessible hotel that beautifully represents the Aloha spirit of the Hawaiian islands.
