London is the place to be if you’re a Bauhaus fan. It is hosting the largest Bauhaus exhibition in the UK in over 40 years! Don’t miss out!
The Fisheye Baby 110 Bauhaus, as you all know, has been inspired by the Bauhaus movement. But the movement was years ago, and many of you (probably all of you) did not have the chance to see the beautiful artworks that inspired our newest Fisheye Baby 110. But if you’re in London, here’s your chance to go back in time and enjoy the beauty that the Bauhaus artistic concept offered back then.
London has a lot to offer for tourists. You can find numerous sightseeing attractions in this busy city, including the Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, the London Bridge, the London Eye and many more! But London is also a haven for artistic beings who loves to visit the museums. There’s the British Museum, Bruce Castle Museum, Pollock’s Toy Museum and many more that I shall not list here, because the list will just never end.
But for those eccentric artists with a Bauhaus flair, London is exhibiting the works of legendary Bauhaus Masters, including osef and Anni Albers, Marianne Brandt, Marcel Breuer, Walter Gropius, Johannes Itten, Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Hannes Meyer, László Moholy-Nagy, Oskar Schlemmer, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Gunta Stölzl.
Their works of arts are a collection of paintings, sculptures, designs, architectures, films, photography, textiles, ceramics, theater and installations. If you love Bauhaus, you will enjoy the Bauhaus: Art as Life exhibition for sure! The exhibition takes place on 3 May 2012 – 12 August 2012 at the Barbican Art Gallery.
