Urban Adventures at Garden by the Bay

Garden by the Bay is the newly-opened nature park by the Singapore Government. It was opened on June 29, 2012. The nearest MRT station is Bayfront MRT station. In spite my busy work schedule, I’ve had the chance to visit this place shortly after its opening.

Garden by the Bay is easily accessible via Bayfront MRT station, next to Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resorts.

From the Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort, there is an overhead bridge linking directly to Garden by the Bay. From there, I had managed to capture almost an entire view of it.

Garden by the Bay, as the name suggests, consists of different flowers, trees, and other exotic plants. The aim is to make Singapore a ‘City in a Garden’. Thus, there are different sections such as the Chinese Garden, Malay Garden, Indian Garden, and much more. Each of the gardens houses different types of species specifically for the ethnic groups.

Unfortunately, time is short and I did not have enough time to explore the rest of the area. However I would be delighted to come by again next time.
