Why You Should Take Your Instant Camera To Summer Festivals

2012-07-03 2

When you visit festivals where bands or singers that you adore perform at, you usually don’t think of bringing paper with you for an autograph, right? But you also don’t want to bump into your idol and not have anything on you to keep as a memento. Why don’t you take an instant picture and have them sign the snap instead?

Last month I went to Pinkpop, it’s a festival in The Netherlands. Lots of famous bands and singers like Bruce Springsteen, The Cure, Linkin Park and Mumford and sons performed there. Also less known bands (which I really like) like The Asteroids Galaxy Tour, Ben Howard and The Wombats performed there.

When I found out they did autograph sessions I was really excited, so I took my Fuji Instax Mini 7S there. I got in line for the sessions and this is an example of what came out.

This is the singer of The Wombats, Murph.

It’s really cool to have a picture or an autograph from your idol but what is better than a picture with an autograph on it?

Even if you don’t want an autograph the Instax camera always makes beautiful vintage pictures and it’s easy to use if you’re in a crowd, you only need to set the lightning and shoot!

For me using instant film really gave me a festival feeling, I love to get the pictures out of my drawer and look back on the amazing time I had. I would surely recommend you to take it with you but don’t forget your markers too!

The Fuji Instax Mini 7S has simple exposure control, automatic built-in flash, and uses credit card-sized Fuji Instax Mini film. And you’re in luck, because this camera is now available in adorable pink! Check it out with the rest of our Instant cameras here!
