On a sunny June weekend The Guvnor and I went for a trip down Portobello Road. The market is a great place to shoot, with a wide selection of stalls selling everything from fruit and veg to vintage clothing and cameras!
Situated on a picturesque street in Notting Hill lies the world famous street market of Portobello Road. It’s by far one of my favourite markets and makes a perfect weekend adventure if you’re around West London.
Loved by locals and tourists alike, on weekends it draws a real mixed crowd of young and old browsing the range of stalls and shops. On a sunny Saturday in June me and my flatmate ventured there and with The Guvnor La Sardina in hand we ambled through the market taking photos. It was a beautiful day so I chose to use Lomography Xpro Chrome to capture all the vivid colours of the fruit and veg stalls.
The food stalls sell everything from steak baguettes, breads and cheeses to more exotic dishes from around the world. While further down Portobello Road there is a variety of vintage jewellery, clothing and cameras to tempt you. As you make your way towards the end of the market there are quaint, pastel coloured houses lining the streets and folk singers busking making some awesome shots for you to snap away at.
With its amazing art, fantastic parties, and effortless style, London is very inspiring place for Lomographers. To honor this, Lomography proudly presents La Sardina & Flash The Guvnor Edition – a 35mm point-and-shoot camera with a fantastic wide lens and a cool sardine can design.
It's been a while since we last heard from Hello America, the photographic storytelling platform created by Kristen Blanton and her partner, Matt Jozwiak. .Blanton and Jozwiak travel American roads together and document their tales strictly on film. The two have been very busy, and recently went on a road trip from Florida to California. Kristen shares the story behind their recent adventure.
Lomography NYC chats with indie musician Zuli and his tour photographer Dave about experiences on the road, like how a broken down van was not so great in the moment but ended up making for a really great photo, and shooting with their new favorite camera, the Sprocket Rocket!
Stephen Dowling is no stranger to the LC-A 120 camera; he has brought it on trips to Brighton, Malta and most recently, on a holiday in Istanbul. In this feature, Stephen talks about his experience shooting with this medium format camera around the markets and mosques of one of Turkey's most colourful and vibrant cities.

One of the things I like the most about the Minitar-1 Art lens is how sharp the focus can be when you shoot with a small aperture. So if you are one of those that like to shoot at night, get a tripod, add this to a late dark winter afternoon, and you will end up with a bunch of beautiful long exposures. This is what I did on my last trip to Europe.

When asked to recall the moment they first became truly interested in photography, most photographers would remember the magical feeling of picking up a hand-me-down or secondhand camera, the thrill of shooting an entire roll through, and the elation upon seeing and holding their first ever set of photographs. Caleb Savage, however, had quite a unique experience. At 10 years old, he had his first taste of working in the darkroom making prints at Boy Scout camp, thereby beginning a more than a decade-long affinity with photography.
