There are those who are inspired by skate, those who participate but it’s those that live it that form the core.
Not only do their schedules revolve around skating, their clothing functional to skate around in but even their perspective is altered. The way a skater sees their surroundings is like a playground that they imagine always with deck beneath their feet.
But, as always, the core has been infiltrated by the mainstream with part of the industry falling on greedy eyes. Sick of paying stupid money for skate decks, Discipline Skateboards started with a load of passion and a stack of blank decks when ‘all the skate shops stopped selling blanks so kids couldn’t afford to buy boards’. Cashing out the average kids, Discipline makes a statement that skate should be affordable and accessible. But more than a statement or a brand, it is a crew of skaters all in it for the pure love of it. Why do they Go Skateboard? Because it’s their life.
