Saturday and Sunday June 9th and 10th, Gramercy was presented with a lovely treat, the Big Apple BBQ came right into our back yard at Madison Square Park, bringing us the best of Southern Barbeque! At the Lomography Gallery Store Gramercy, we couldn’t wait to get in on the fun, so we held a workshop based entirely around joining in the festivities! We grabbed our gear and headed over to photograph and EAT!
The Big Apple BBQ came to town with monster eats, treats, and beats. Local Lomographers, Dor and Joey, took to the streets with our delightful Lomography cams in search of capturing the BBQ through our own eyes.
What: Big Apple BBQ Walking Tour
When: Saturday, June 9, 2012
Where: Madison Square Park, NYC
Camera: LC-A+ and Lubitel 166+
Welcome Dor, one of our friendliest Lomographers (and that’s saying a lot). She took our fantastic Lubitel 166+ around the streets, shooting with some 35mm film using the converter kit included with the cam’s package.
Staff Lomographer, Joey, was on hand to lead this expedition through the traitorous food vendors, those scoundrels of delicious eats.
Take a gander at the hectic nature that was this year’s Big Apple BBQ. The long lines and humidity made for quite the journey to artistic discovery.
