She’d rather have a camera loaded with film as there isn’t any point of having it the other way around, really! That’s why she always make it sure to bring enough to feed her small, but smart, glass-eyed weapon of choice, ready to snap some action at any given time!
Name: Yuki Lam Yoke Kei
Weapon of Choice: Olympus XA2
Why is this camera your Weapon of Choice?
It is smart and able to perform well from morning until night and from spring to winter without adding any accessories. Olympus XA2 has an automatic exposure feature thus it is able to take great photos without using flash either in indoor or night shooting. It is a user friendly pocket size point and shoot camera. This allows me bring it everywhere I go. Furthermore, it has a self-timer feature which allows me to self-shoot if I travel alone. Besides, I can play with its different ISO settings. Lastly, I would like to highlight that this camera is inexpensive and I believe it is affordable for most of us.
What are the memorable experiences you’ve had while using this Weapon of Choice?
I dropped it accidentally twice, and I got hurt about it. Once happened when I was preparing its self-timer with friends and the other one happened while I was removing my gloves. Also, it was showered by rain during a trip in Taiwan.
Would you recommend this to other Lomographers? If yes, to whom do you have in mind?
Of course I will. I would like to say that I would recommend Olympus XA2 to everyone, especially for those who are looking for a point and shoot film camera yet an “anti-flash” user.
In a sticky situation, would you rather have cameras without films or films without cameras? Why?
This is a really hard question. There is no point if without either one and it will definitely make me crazy if ever this happens.
