Double Duty with the Diana 'Ready to Shoot Bag' Sahara Edition

The Diana ‘Ready to Shoot’ Bag Sahara is a great case for your new Diana F+. It smartly matches many other Diana’s and adds some protection, too. Like the Diana F+ and her clones it has a few quirks which only adds to its charm. Plus it’s a practical two-in-one case.

The helpful clerk at the Lomography store in Santa Monica was very helpful and suggested the Diana Camera Case - Sahara. It’s like two cases in one. The bottom case looks very sharp with my all-black Diana Black Jack clone. The top case wraps around the bottom case. I use the larger, outer case for wrapping up the camera before packing it away in my messenger bag. The outer case cover the entire camera, including the lens, and so far it can handle the standard 38mm lens, the 55mm Wide-Angle Lens with or without the close up lens. You’ll have to take viewfinder off for the top case but it snaps on pretty quickly.

The Sahara case does have a few quirks much like the Diana F+, which it protects. The semi-circular strap which goes around the top of the camera lens was a bit tricky to snap into place. The trick is to lay the strap over the top. It really stands out with the black lens of my Diana. The other quirk was with the camera back coming off with the case when I was done with a roll of film. It turns out I didn’t have the 120 format back lack completely locked. It took me a few tries to get the locking to work, and it was fine since I changed out the film in a dimly lit room. The bottom case has hole in the bottom for a tripod or monopod mount. It works very nicely with my monopod or just with the neckstrap alone. If it is a bright, sunny day, I usually put it around my neck and use both cases to make sure I don’t get too many light leaks.

The Sahara case is a great leather cover and always gets nice compliments and matches smartly with the flash case, too.

Keep your pretty plastic Diana F+ camera safe and protected with the Diana ‘Ready to Shoot’ Camera Bag! Stylish and practical, it’s made out of vegetable-tanned leather, which makes it environmentally friendly, durable, and lightweight. You can even take photos without having to pull your Diana F+ out of the bag! Get your own Diana ‘Ready to Shoot’ Camera Bag now.
