Last night we launched the LomoKino Mubi edition in Lomography Gallery Store Soho…Drinks, DJ and an exclusive film screening from Cannes Winner, ‘Apichatpong Weerasethakul’.
Already at 6pm at Lomography Gallery Store Soho visitors started to get their glass of champagne and grabing the best seats for tonight’s exclusive screening of Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s LomoKino movie ‘Ashes’.
We had Jonny Trunk, from Trunk Records DJ’ing for us – there is a real feel of Cannes in the air. Old school movie soundtracks filling the store and the street, champagne flowing and people queuing up to see the brand new LomoKino MUBI edition.
The party was full with regular lomographers, new lomographers, film socites and fans of Art House cinema. There was a great vibe and everyone was excited!

We had recovered it from the last ever supply of an Italian filmmaker, and stocked it for seven years in special conditions. 12 New Media students from the University of Texas, all armed with Lomography cameras, travelled to New York City for an advanced studio art course in May 2016. They each shot one roll of film in a LomoKino per day, and the results were exciting and diverse. Read more here.
