If you like green hills, walks and old stones, this location is for you!
Ecoivres is a little rural village located near Arras in the Pas-de-Calais, in the north of France. Which is remarkable in Ecoivres is the old church of the 16th century and its spire ornate with sculpt hooks. The churchyard is in ruins and the little chapel seems to be abandoned. But there, reigns a strange atmosphere…, maybe because of the ever changing light in the trees…
The region invites you to a promenade in the heart of the Land of Artois. During a tour of about 30 km, you can see 7 churches with sculpt hooks and the patrimony of chalk villages, castles, pigeon houses, farms… Each summer, an art manifestation is organized in Le Mont Saint Eloi, the village next to Ecoivres, combining paintings, photographs, poetry, sculptures in open spaces, and that was at that occasion I discovered this village in 2007. In 2008, I was part of the exhibition with some of my photos on the walls of Le Mont Saint Eloi, and I was very proud of it.
Colors mean differently for all walks of life. The color chartreuse is a vivid yellow-green, one that resembles lime and green apples, or the nuclear substance in the disaster movies. Such color is like a poisonous tango between sweetness and danger, isn’t it?
Kenneth Bachor used to work as a photo editor for the Rolling Stone, ABC News or TIME, just to name a few. His passion for photography was triggered by old record's artwork and is fueled today by street culture, skating and coffee.
Colors mean differently for all walks of life. The color Viridian is a certain green favored by artists for its cool and fresh hue reminding them of springtime. Lomography tries to understand the meaning of each complex color found in the gradient and what it means for most of us photographers.

You might wonder why the world has gone green for today. Every 17th of March, one would find people wearing shamrocks, attending cèilidhean, marching parades, drinking the best Irish beer and whiskey in the area. No doubt, today is Saint Patrick's Day.
Erhan Baran, who lives in Silivri, used the New LomoChrome Purple Film in his recent portraits. If you are curious about his photos, that were mainly taken in green areas and his comments, keep reading!
Christmas truly is one of the most wonderful times of the year -- everywhere just looks like part of Tinseltown as glamorous Christmas lights, outdoor music and carols, huge red-and-green cut-outs of Santa Claus, and of course, the Christmas trees. Mid-century, the trees get their makeover.
In a conversation about Ansel Adams' genius, one would often find wondering if he actually struggled like a normal artist, or if he was just naturally talented and skilled. The latter is popular among his fans, but clearly, there's more to this photographer's story.
