Capturing the Mesmerizing Beauty of Perhentian Island

City getaway to fun in paradise with friends. It’s the gorgeous Perhentian Besar Island located in Malaysia with its sandy white beaches along Abdul Chalets facing the beautiful scenic turquoise blue sea that welcomes us at first sight.

I love beaches! They are such a wonderful paradise to hide away from the crowded city when you really need a much deserved break from work.

One of my favorite beaches in Malaysia is the Perhentian Island located in Terengganu. It consists of two islands, the main island which is Perhentian Besar (translates loosely to Big Stop) and the smaller island which is more popular with backpackers, Perhentian Kecil (translates loosely to Small Stop).

We visited Perhentian Besar in May when the weather was bright and sunny, just perfect for a beach holiday! Don’t be afraid of the scorching sun, just remember to always reapply sunblock.

We chose to stay in the quieter Perhentian Besar due to Abdul Chalet which was highly recommended by TripAdvisor and its raving reviews on long white sandy beaches. I just had to see it for myself and boy I wasn’t disappointed for choosing it. Cute little chalets operated by friendly, English-speaking locals. They also operate a restaurant and a small convenient store beside the chalets.

The amazing view around the chalet.
Having fun and a good time!
Unexpected effect from my UWS. I simply love this little wide angle camera and its my first lomo camera!
Snorkeling in the gorgeous clear waters, plenty of fishes to see and we all ended up with sunburn. :)

Do visit Perhentian Islands if you’re a beach lover who loves sun bathing, snorkeling, diving or just lazying around enjoying the breeze reading a book. It’s a prefect place to relax for couples, families and friends! Enjoy!
