1. Shoot at night.

This may be pretty obvious, since we all know that those pretty Christmas lights start twinkling at dusk. So, once your town, office, or home starts lighting up with those lovely lights, it’s time to take advantage of the LC-Wide’s high ISO capabilities and load those ISO 400 – 1600 films!

2. Use slide films or redscale films.

We all know how slide films paint our photographs with saturated and contrasty colors — which is perfect for the bright and cheery Yuletide season! Redscale films, meanwhile, are also great for Christmas snaps for the warm yellow-reddish tones.

3. Shoot doubles with Christmas lights and other colorful decorations.

One of the neat tricks you can do to make your photos instantly Christmas-y is to double expose some everyday subjects with bright and colorful Christmas decorations. For starters, try shooting a roll full of beautiful Christmas lights bokeh before loading it again in your LC-Wide.

4. Take advantage of the reflective Christmas ornaments.

See those colorful tinsel balls that adorn Christmas trees everywhere? They look great from afar, but they can also get you some nice holiday self-portraits! Get close to a bunch of them, aim, snap, and presto—you have a nice self-portrait that is certainly perfect for the occasion!

5. Shoot photos of cities and countryside blanketed in snow.

Aside from the bright ornaments and overall cheery atmosphere, the Holiday season is also known for the beautiful snowy scenery which we have all come to call “Winter Wonderland.” Christmas photo albums will never be complete without winter photos, so make use of the LC-Wide’s wide angle and endless panorama capabilities to capture cities and countryside beautifully bathed in snow!
