This month, let’s shift from our biggest state in Malaysia to our most beautiful state, Sabah! We are going to feature some of our most active community members coming from “The Land Below The Wind!” Today, let’s explore Sabah together with Yuan Chin!
Name: Yuan Chin Lim
City/Country: Sabah, Malaysia
LomoAge: 2.5 years
Hello, tell us a bit about yourself and your Lomographic journey.
27 years of living my life, I have yet to have a definition of who I am. Essentially, I guess the best way to describe me is that I am old, yet childish. I’ve been into Lomography for about 2 and a half years. My discovery of Lomography wasn’t a great or unique one as told by others. I think it was the brand name “Lomography” that caught my attention in the first place. The first camera that I owned was Holga, but after a few days I gave it up because all my pictures came out blank. Few years later, God knows why, I bought an LC-A. I love this little thing with its automatic function, and my pictures no longer come out blank, and it is light so I can take it with me anywhere!
Do you enjoy shooting alone or do you prefer shooting together with the community?
Since I don’t have the experience of shooting with others, I think I would say I quite enjoy shooting alone as it helps me develop my feeling towards my subject more.
Are you born Sabahrian and where is your location now?
Yup, I’m born Sabahan and I’m currently residing at Damansara, Selangor now.
Tell us what you love the most about Sabah.
I love everything about Sabah.
What is the food you love the most in Sabah?
Tomyam! I love it so much because it’s so different than the Tomyam offered in other places. Personally, I think it is the best in the world, even better than its place of origin.
Where would you bring your friends to go when they visit you at Sabah
Thanks for your time! Before we wrap things up, do you mind letting us know which Lomography product is your favorite and why?
LC-A because it is light and I have the luxury to bring it with me anywhere I go!
