Live Updates from the SF Diana World Tour Launch Party: Part 3

2012-05-11

The party doesn’t stop at Lomography SF! Dranks, disco jams, draq queens and Diana cameras are making this one heck of a celebration!

We’re at max capacity now. Our guests and staff alike are in awe of the massive Detrich Collection; The Diana clones come in an assortment of sizes, shapes and colors. Some include original packaging, accessories and flash units. There are some truly interesting and beautiful pieces here that provide a nice look into the rich history of our favorite plastic camera. You can definitely see the evolution unfold and recognize the key design characteristics that went into the creation of our modern Diana F+.

How cool is this customer’s classic Zeiss Ikon Contaflex S?

Bob Adler is working on some documentary footage in the store, and he’s getting some great Blue Hour footage here. We’re just about to draw the names for our in-store raffle! Two lucky Lomographers will receive Diana World Tour t-shirts or tanks, and one person will get to take home their own Diana F+ camera!

And now, a final highlight to our evening… Our custom Diana F+ cake, courtesy of the Cake Gallery in San Francisco! I want to dive into a slice (or two), but I can’t bear to ruin such a beautiful design just yet. The night is drawing to a close, unfortunately. It’s been an amazing night, and we can’t thank all of our contributors enough. Didn’t get a chance to come by tonight? Don’t fret! The show is up until June 7th, come down to the Gallery Store in San Francisco, or better yet… Join us for one of our Diana-themed workshops this month! After San Francisco, the exhibition will be traveling to Los Angeles, Austin, Chicago and New York! Check it out in a city near you!

Okay, now it’s cake time.

Cheers!
