Yummy Food in Taipei Night Market

I love eating delicious food, who doesn’t, right? Especially a Singaporean like me, food is in our blood, we will travel just for delicious food! There is a place where I can’t forget about the delicious food I had there, it is Tapei Night Market! I visited the most famous night market in Taipei, which is Shilin Night Market back in 2010.

Shilin Night Market is located at the Shilin district of Taipei, Taiwan, and is known as the largest and most famous night market in the city. The night market consists of two major segments – an eatery and non-eatery for entertainment games, clothes, toys etc. Businesses will start to open at 4pm ’til late at night around 1 to 2am. There has been an increase in tourist visits here in recent years as it is easily accessible through the Metro train service.

Most visitors like me, will be most interested in the FOOD! Talking about it just makes me drool hahaha! The most famous food you can get there are fried chicken steak (炸雞排), “Small bun wrapped in large bun” (大餅包小餅), fried buns (生煎包), peanut candy (花生糖), oyster omelet (蚵仔煎), tempura (甜不辣), lemon aiyu jelly (檸檬愛玉), pearl milk tea (珍珠奶茶), stinky tofu (臭豆腐), and oyster vermicelli (蚵仔麵線). I personally tried them and there is only one word to describe it, YUMMY! Prices of the food are reasonable but tastiness is never compromised!

Other than the delicious food, token games are also worth a try such as can shooting, bullseye shooting, and many more. Also, don’t forget to buy some fruits as they are really fresh and tasty. Visit Taipei Night Market if you guys can, it is worth the effort!
