Earlier in the month, a group of Chicago based Lomographers took a trip to the zoo! With our trusty cameras guiding the way, we took it all in and had a great day!
We covered a lot of ground and a went through a lot of film on that chilly Sunday afternoon. The giraffes mesmerized us and the meerkats made us smile. With our cameras clicking away we captured the true beauty of the animals.
The best part was the conservatory! The beautiful blooms of flowers and bright green leaves were a photographers dream come true. It was enough beauty to last a life time… or at least until next time!
Earlier this year we were chuffed to launch a very memorable type of 35mm film: the Lomography Color Negative F²/400. We had recovered it from the last ever supply of an Italian filmmaker, and stocked it for seven years in special conditions. Much sought after for the film's nostalgic aesthetic, beautiful blue tones, with hints of X-Pro character, the F²/400 35mm rolls flew off our shelves like hotcakes – and rapidly went out of stock worldwide.
UK based photographer Becky Broodbakker shoots film and manipulates her shots to create eerie images with a fairy tale feel. We lent her a Lomo'instant Wide which she took with her on a day trip to Derbyshire.
We love London in the summer and what better way to spend it than joining one of our workshops. This month we will be running a Diana F+ X-pro workshop, our very first Simple Use Film Camera walk, and a new exhibition from photographer Adam Popli. Book your spot today!
Belgrade-based psychologist and photographer Ivana Džamić took a Daguerre lens as a trusty companion and decided to explore hidden parts of Greece. Seeing the sun set each day on an empty beach sparked her creativity and inspired her to keep those memories forever.
Chicago based five-piece garage band Twin Peaks recently released their third album “Down in Heaven.” They’ve had two sold out UK tours and are currently touring the US. We gave them a Fisheye No. 2 camera and talked to founder Cadien Lake James a.k.a Big Tuna.
