Scenie Bike Ride at Sydney Olympic Park

Riding along the beautiful Olympic and Parklands bike tracks at Sydney Olympic Park with my trusty Diana Mini and half decent weather. I love the outdoors!

Sydney Olympic Park, was created for the 2000 Olympics and is located in Western Australia, which is an urban hot spot along the Parramatta River. The park represents a mixture of nature and architecture where beautiful buildings are built next to lakes and park lands, which offer a lovely contrast of scenery.

Mixture of man-made and nature.

The park has over 35 kilometers of trails and tracks that you can either walk or bike to and takes you along the different habitats for hundreds of different species of plants, birds, frogs, and fishes. Most of the tracks and trails are paved with concrete making it very easy to ride along. The tracks that I chose (Olympic and Parklands) have minimal hills, which means that you do not need to be super fit.

Different tracks and trails.

There are many interesting things that you can come across in the park. The beautiful Badu Mangroves, waterbird refuge, Wentworth Common, Lake Belevedere, playgrounds, and various sculptures scattered around the tracks. A great place for an afternoon out, either by yourself or with your family.

Photos were taken with my Diana Mini with a roll of Lomography 400 ISO color negatives. Bike rentals are available at Bicentennial Park from around $15 for adults and $10 for children.

The Diana Mini is the ultra-compact, petite version of the Diana F+. This camera takes soft-focused, lo-fi images in 35mm and allows you to change between half-format and square shots with a flick of a switch. Get your own Diana Mini now!
