Terrapuri (The Land of Palaces) is a conservation and restoration project of Terengganu Malay Classic house. Terrapuri Heritage Village is located at the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia at Kampung Mangkuk, Setiu, Terengganu.
Terrapuri Heritage Village is a boutique resort. The layout of the resort is inspired by the 17th century Terengganu Palace and its surroundings. Terrapuri Heritage Village consists of 29 classic Malay-style houses, which are each a century old. The structure of the houses is unique as there are no nails used.
There are 20 villas in Terrapuri Heritage Village. Each of the villas features traditional decor and comes with air conditioning, ceiling fan, fridge, hair dryer, sarongs, slippers, coffee/tea maker, and complimentary mineral water. The bed is comfortable for a good rest. The bathroom in the villa is spacious. There is a wooden bathtub in the bathroom, which I think is special.
A good day always starts with good breakfast! Breakfast is provided and can be served either in the public dining area or at the guest’s own villa terrace.
There are a variety of activities and tours, which are available at Terrapuri Heritage Village but are subject to weather and tide conditions. If you prefer to stay in, you can have a swim in the swimming pool, which is opens for in-house guests or do some reading by the pool.
There is a beautiful beach, which is few steps away from Terrapuri Heritage Village. The beach is quiet and is ideal for a walk. There is a beach house by the beach. I find that sitting at the beach house, listening to the sound of the waves and feeling the gentle touch of the sea breeze is very relaxing and calming.
I love Terrapuri Heritage Village. It is a gorgeous and peaceful place to relax and unwind.
