Gao Yi-wen (Ha Yu) is the owner of a pawn shop and a devoted father to his son Gao Wei-ting (Mak Cheung-ching) and two daughters Gao Ru-zhu (Linda Chung) and Gao Ru-bao (Cilla Kung). However unknown to his daughters they are not his biological daughters but collateral placed by a customer for a defaulted loan made many years previously. When events threaten to reveal the truth Gao acts to prevent the truth coming to light and the destruction of a family that he has given everything for.
