Film Review of the Week

This week has seen several interesting insights on various expired films, so it wasn’t an easy task picking out the best among them. However, our winning contender for this week tells about the amazing photos yielded by an expired golden wonder!

When she described his treasured expired film as a “golden wonder,” our featured author for this week was serious about it, and his photos certainly show it! In her review of the expired Porst Chrome X 100, stratski shares that she initially had doubts about using the slide film, as he hasn’t seen the film since 2007!

Even so, using the lost-and-found film proved to be rewarding for our featured lomographer, as evidenced by her sepia-toned, gold-tinged, and regular xpro photographs—all in one roll! It’s like she struck gold when she got reunited with this expired slide film! Just take a look at some of them:

She closes the review with a useful tip:

“All in all, it’s like having two or three different films in one roll. So if you find an old roll of film and aren’t sure whether to risk it: take a change and go ahead! You might be pleasantly surprised.”

Congratulations, stratski, for bagging the Film Review of the Week! Keep looking around your attic, you might find another surprise-filled film lying around, waiting to be discovered!
