In the twilight days of 2017, documentarist Kevin McElvaney flew to Thailand for work. Having acquired a fresh roll of the LomoChrome Purple, he decided to load it up and took a stroll in the magnificent city of Bangkok.
Irene was born and raised in Larnaca, Cyprus. She studied Audio and Video Production in Cyprus and Photography in Italy. She returned to Cyprus and worked as a photojournalist for many years, until 2011, when she decided to open up a little photography shop and introduce Lomography to the locals. She's been the Lomography Authorized Dealer ever since. She is known for her love for analog and people call her "Khal-lomo" (a reference to Game of Thrones' Khaleesi = Queen)!
In the 1970's, photographer Mike Mandel once stood on a Hollywood sidewalk, with his camera focusing on passerby cars and the people inside them. The results lead to an interesting series of street photography reflecting the attitudes of people while on-the-go.
Photographer Etienne Buyse has quite a unique hobby during his commute -- people watching. The result of such examination on bus stops leads to a wonderful, pensive series of ephemeral downtime in "Temps d’arrêt".
