Conserve and Protect Oceans (CAPOceans) Foundation Resort

Who could have thought that a Non-Government Agency houses a wonderful beach lot area in Calatagan, Batangas? It serves a dual purpose of accommodating trainings for the conservation of our wildlife and has been opened to the public where the income generated shall be used for additional funding of its projects. Because of its location, Calatagan was made the jump-off point for the EcoRescue (ER) live-aboard series. It is a program that aims to transform recreational divers into conservationists by teaching them how to monitor marine parks.

Conserve and Protect Oceans Foundation (CAPOceans) is a Philippine organization geared towards marine rehabilitation and protection in the Calatagan, Batangas area known for having one of the largest and most high-profile Artificial Reef System (ARS) projects in the country thru the well-renowned Underwater Pyramids.

It took us about 3 hours from Manila to get to the place. We traveled at night time so when we got there we where amazed on how vast the area, since it was low tide, the shore was really waterless. We took advantage of this, as we walked and bummed along the shore until sunrise.

We rented two rooms that has 4 double bunk beds, own shower and what was great about it was that we have our own balcony to use for our “drinking” sessions. We were lucky that we were the only ones who rented the place at that time so it was as if we owned the beach. The oriental-nature-themed resort is a great place to stay whether you’re with your friends or family.
