Have I told you about Ian? He is my nephew and he is 8 months old now. He is very beautiful and I love to take his portraits, but he is also very hyperactive! How do I manage to take his portraits? Read on to find out.
I love to take baby portraits because their expression is very natural and innocent. They don’t care about how they look. That is why I love to take Baby Ian’s portraits.
As I have mentioned, Ian is very hyperactive, so I have to be very patient when shooting his portraits. I also have to wait for a very long time for the ‘epic moment’. You know, when he smiles, laughs or yawns.
Avoid using slow shutter. Babies move a lot and you don’t want your baby portraits to turn out blurry or shaky, unless you want them to look creepy. So it is best to shoot baby portraits on sunny days or when you have a good light source. If possible, don’t use flash. Babies have very sensitive eyes and you don’t want to blind them with your flash!
Here are some examples of my baby portraits:
It is very easy and simple. Follow these steps and you will get the best baby portraits ever!
PN is a Hong Kong based photographer. Previously he had shared some elegant blue paint shots using the Daguerreotype Achromat. Ever since he got his very first camera, Martin Bruno embarked on this exciting photographic journey. Traveling and exploring the unknown is what drives him to take unforgettable shots of all those places he had the pleasure of seeing.
Harimao Lee is not only a photographer, he is also an urban explorer. He likes to shoot from the top of buildings and discover the beauty of lives from different angles. This time he brought along the Neptune Convertible Art Lens and walked through hectic scenes of Hong Kong.
Vicuna is one of my best friends and wherever the wind takes him I will catch a paraglide to meet him. I did so, when he chased turtles in Polynesia and now, when he is digesting cheese in Switzerland. My prerogative was to hit a mountain on my birthday and so we did.
It is amazing how photography now allows people to travel without moving from the seats, but Germany-based film photographer Johannese Huwe is all about the tangent and analogue as he shares his fresh adventure to the Antarctic with his medium format camera.
Imagine seeing the world in beautiful colours and daydreaming about breathtaking landscapes. This is exactly how we feel when we look at Dustin Adam's inspiring photographs. His photographic journey started out through skateboarding and he has been taking awesome shots ever since.
Traveling and taking photographs goes hand in hand. Ardent globetrotter Noé McCrae (@noafromdablock) started his journey across different countries as a means of self-discovery. An interest to document these travels comes naturally. So now, each place he visits is carefully composed into minimalist frames using disposable cameras.
