Good bands and good times at Global Gathering Korea. A wild night with Groove Armada, Digitalism, Example and DJ Wire, Ronnie Size, and a whole host of awesome Korean bands.
On the 8th of October 2011 we packed our party bags and headed for Nanji Park Seoul. Why? To party all night with our fellow expats and a few thousand Koreans at Global Gathering. Getting there was easy enough, we just took the green line to the World Cup Stadium and took Exit 1 out of the station, walked along the road, and up the stairs that lead us to Nanji Park.
We arrived as the sun was going down, it was a beautiful sight watching the sun set slowly over the Han River and slip behind the main stage. At this point things were just getting started! We started our night with Korean band The Koxx at the Blue Spirit stage, a mix of electronic and live music, they really got things warmed up! We went on to see Digitalism, Idiotape (another electronic Korean band), and Groove Armada.
The main stage closed after Groove Armada at 10:30 but the night was far from over. We moved on to the smaller Urban, Party, and Shadow stages where we watched 360 Sounds, Roni Size, and a whole host of Korean electronic artists until 4am.
