Chronotopic Anamorphosis with Spinner 360° Motorizer!

Here’s a quick tipster that you can try to achieve a special effect using the Spinner 360° Motorizer!

The Lomography Spinner 360 is already an extremely experimental camera but with the Spinner 360 Motorizer, the possibilities are exponential.

One effect that I always wanted to achieve is called Anamorphosis Chronotopic, which was used by the great Zbigniew Rybczynski in his famous short film “The Fourth Dimension.” To get it, you must place the Motorizer on a tripod to get a vertical shot and shoot the subject as it turns on itself.

These are a couple of experiments and I hope to get better results with a little patience!

The Spinner 360° goes beyond the confines of standard panoramic cameras. See everything around you (literally!), and be swept away by truly spectacular results. Head to our Online Shop and get your own Spinner 360°!

YO!!! I'm trying to set up something similar with my diana, but I'm a bit stuck since I can't know (unless experimentally) a good compromise between the rotation speed and the film speed? Any suggestion? what is the rotation time of the spinner and which film did you use? Thanks, and keep up the nice work! p.

The film is Lomography Color Negative 400. A complete Spinner Motorizer rotation is about 14 seconds.

Can you tell me how you take the Spinner's handle off? I'm thinking about making my own motorizer.
