In the cold winter month of February, a group of Lomographers bravely traveled and met in Manchester to take photos, chat about cameras, and make new friends…and luckily for us, it even snowed!
Having only been to Manchester a few times in the summer, I was amazed by how different the city looked in the winter, it seemed to suit it though I thought – like a lot of the places in the north of England.
Although it snowed heavily and suddenly, we weren’t put off and some of those in the group even took part in a snowball fight in the square, which led to some interesting photo results from other Lomographers. Overall I think I prefer England in the summer, but our little trip to Manchester was definitely memorable and fun…if a bit cold.

Lomography NYC chats with indie musician Zuli and his tour photographer Dave about experiences on the road, like how a broken down van was not so great in the moment but ended up making for a really great photo, and shooting with their new favorite camera, the Sprocket Rocket!
As a core member of Yamanaka Yuko, a local hiking group based in Hong Kong, AM Renault is deeply in love with nature. He is also part of the creative photography group Six Dimen Boy and is good at intertwining photography with art and design elements -- making photos not only useful for documenting what we see, but also as a means to tickle the imagination. The young and talented AM tried out the New Russar+ lens while traveling in Japan with his father. He talks about his experience and shares the sights from his journey in this Lomography Magazine exclusive.

Everything I had fit into eight boxes and two suitcases. That’s all I had collected in my 22 years on earth, eight boxes and two suitcases. My friends and I moved to Brooklyn in the dead of winter, just after a huge snowstorm. I came from California and had no real experience living in snow. All of it was magical to me.
Endowaty takes us on a nice walk in the woods and up the mountains with photographs taken with the Lubitel. He tells us about his dreamy and symbolic multiple exposures in this brief but insightful interview.
As a toast to Oktoberfest 2015, we have combed archives for evidence of beer love in the deeper parts of town. The roadside dives that banner cold beer, German singers holding up their embossed steins and rustic ads by the tracks make up today’s gallery.

Unexpected detours sometimes make travel so memorable. On a stop in Spain during their tour around Europe years ago, @alexroarsatlyons and his friends took a leaf out of a fellow traveler's book and had a spur-of-the-moment trip to Terifa.
