Wildlife Control's Music Video Combines Stop-Motion and Time-Lapse Techniques

Stop motion and time lapse videos… we already love watching them individually. But combine them together? That’s just totally rad! The SF based indie band, Wildlife Control decided to mash them both in their latest video (which has a thought-provoking title) called ‘Analog or Digital’. Let’s check it out!

Screenshots from the video

This simple-looking video is not actually simple to make. The video was shot for an entire day, combining both techniques by slowing the music playback down by 35x and synchronizing it with the band performance while taking a photo every few seconds. The entire video took 3,060 photos and when played and synced to the normal speed of the song, the busy background like the clouds, waves, and the people behind them appear to move fast, resulting in the time-lapse effect mixed with the stop motion band performance.

Here’s the video.

The video is kinda tricky to make. And these guys were able to mix digital photos with all-time favorite analogue techniques and pulled it off well. Well done, good sirs. How about you? what do you guys think?

He's got the same guitar i want: Fender Telecaster, sort of a predecessor to the stratocaster. Lots of twang so it's good for country and alternative rock. :)
