The Lomography Gallery Store turned two this year! We decided to celebrate this milestone by partnering up with LA TACO, add in an exhibition, and not one but TWO musical acts and you get one heck of a party. Don’t believe us? See for yourself!
Most 2nd anniversaries are celebrated with gifts of cotton or china. We decided to celebrate our 2nd anniversary with LA TACO, spray paint, tacos, a dj, a high-volume, high-energy band, old friends, and new faces alike.
We knew we were in for a Lomo party unlike any other when artists Septerhead and Destroy all Designs set up their huge, wall-sized canvases early in the evening. Their dueling live art was there at the front door to greet all of our revelers. It was a amazing to watch the progress of each from huge, blank pieces of plywood to intricate, larger-than-life art right before us.
As if that weren’t enough, we were serving Jarritos with fresh asada and carnitas tacos behind the store. The first words out of everyone’s mouths when they came in was “where are the tacos?!”
Once in the gallery store, our guests were treated to a rock show upstairs from favorite locals, LA Font. DJ HouseShoes picked up where LA Font left off and kept the party going until it was time to go home.
Thanks to everyone who came out and we look forward to seeing you all again next year!
